  • Wobbulators made by Jason Bernagozzi and Ivan Marusic Klif
  • Eurorack & other audio synthesis systems
  • Jones MVIP and Frame Buffers

Researcher/Toolmaker Studio

We believe that research and toolmaking in the field of experimental media art is just as important as the art being produced. We have a separate studio space for this work that serves as a dual purpose research and development space. Resources include:

  • A library consisting of various historical, theoretical and technical texts ranging from show cards from long ago to short run publications to the Spaghetti City Video Manual
  • A tape and digital media viewing station featuring work by alumni and other makers in the field
  • Fully equipped toolmaker space including a professional soldering station with exhaust fans, magnifying visors and materials
  • Bench power, multimeters, oscilloscopes and waveform generators for testing your circuit design
  • Bread boards, perf boards, a wide range of electronic components, both common and rare
  • A wide range of IC’s, including CMOS, NTSC, and PAL chips specific to video circuits
  • Other utility tools such as clamps, wire strippers, etc. you may need for prototype fabrication
  • And more!
