Rebecca is a filmmaker and multi-media artist born, raised, and based in New York City. Her art and image-making practice revolve around an interest in exploring femininity in all of it's forms and expressions. To do this, she investigates her own memories and experiences, reflecting on specific moments, people, and places that have effected and shaped her own womanhood. She translates these fleeting moments into found footage and diaristic films, digital text collages, and various animations. She is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she completed a degree in Film & TV and Art History. She is currently NURTUREart's Video Artist In-School Resident. When not making art, Rebecca can be found co-directing DV8 Film Festival, a Brooklyn-based screening series that celebrates ultra low-budget films and their creators.
