Daniel Temkin

 

Daniel Temkin makes images, programming languages, and interactive pieces that use the machine as a place of confrontation between human thought and logic. His blog and research project esoteric.codes documents the history of programming languages as an art medium. It received the 2014 ArtsWriters.org blog grant and is currently in exhibition at ZKM in Karlsruhe and the Goethe Institute in Mumbai. It is also currently in residence at New Inc, the New Museum’s cultural incubator. Daniel has written on art rooted in human/computer interaction for World Picture Journal, Leonardo, and the Media-N Journal, and presented at conferences such as SXSW, GLI.TC/H, SIGGRAPH, and Media Art Histories.
