Nica Ross

Nica Ross is a visual artist whose work is an evolving pursuit of pleasure checked; or perhaps bolstered, by the failure of representation. Their work takes multiple forms: video installation, performance, gayming, sporting.

As of 2019 Nica is an assistant teaching professor at Carnegie Mellon University in the Video and Media Design option within the School of Drama. Nica holds a B.A. in Cinema from San Francisco State University and an M.F.A. in Advanced Photographic Study from ICP/Bard. They have presented at Oakland Museum of California, ICA Philadelphia, Baxter Street, The Kitchen, Austrian Association of Women Artists (VBKÖ), The International Center of Photography. And they have received support from The Lighthouse Fellowship, Baxter Street The Camera Club of New York and The Frank-Ratchye Fund for Art @ the Frontier.
