Kimberly Lyle

Kimberly Lyle is an interdisciplinary artist and educator whose current practice poetically and conceptually explores our human relationships to systems of language and technology as producers of knowledge, often questioning the logic of each. She utilizes sound, video, sculpture, and interactive electronics in a further attempt to dissolve the perceived barriers that exist between languages, human and machine, and each other.

She received an MFA in Intermedia from Arizona State University and a BA in both Psychology and Fine Art from Stetson University. She has been a resident at the Elsewhere Museum in Greensboro, NC (http://www.goelsewhere.org/kimberly-lyle/); Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT; and Mildred’s Lane in Narrowsburg, NY. Her work has most recently been shared at ISEA, TEI (http://www.tei-conf.org/), the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México in Toluca, Mexico, and the Arizona Biennial at the Tucson Museum of Art.
